Symmetry Exercise ClinicPersonal Trainer Career Opportunity at Symmetry Exercise Clinic

Naples, Florida

I’m looking for a personal trainer who wants to build a long-term career at Symmetry Exercise Clinic.

Symmetry is an exercise clinic, not a traditional gym. Since 2013, we’ve worked with people who want to move and feel better, get stronger, stay active as they age, and pursue health, fitness, and performance goals. Many of our clients are adults in their 50s, 60s, 70s, and beyond. They deserve a trainer who listens, thinks carefully, communicates well, and takes their progress seriously.

I’m open to an experienced personal trainer, exercise physiologist, or an exceptional person early in their career. I’ll teach you Symmetry’s system. What matters most is that you’re excited to learn, willing to be taught without ego, and able to connect with people.

You should also be curious about the sciences behind the work: physiology, neurology, psychology, biology, biomechanics, thermodynamics, nutrition science, and chemistry. You don’t need to be an expert in all of them. I want someone who enjoys learning how they inform better decisions for clients.

The role

This is a personal training position focused on strength, fitness, wellness, longevity, and performance. Some clients will come directly to Symmetry for personal training. Others will have originally come in with pain or mobility concerns, worked with a Muscle System Specialist, and then been handed off to you to pursue their strength, fitness, or other training goals.

Your role with both groups is personal training. You will not be responsible for treating or resolving pain.

You’ll assess where a client is starting, develop and progress their exercise process, pay attention to how they respond, and adjust your decisions accordingly. You’ll also build relationships with clients and manage their bookings and schedule.

What you can build here

I will teach you how we approach assessment, exercise selection, the exercise process, progression, and communication with clients. You’ll learn directly from me, Jay Weitzner, while working within an established system and with a wide range of clients.

I enjoy teaching people who are excited about this work. As your skills grow, I’ll keep sharing what I’ve learned and help you develop your own judgment and confidence as a trainer.

Pay and schedule

The rate is $78–$126 per booked client hour, depending on experience, confidence, competence, and market demand. Most client sessions are 30 minutes.

You can shape your schedule around early mornings, daytime, evenings, or weekends. Trainers can build a smaller schedule or work toward 30–35 booked client hours a week, with the option to take on more.

Building your client book

A strong client book grows from excellent work with clients, the referrals that follow, and a visible presence in the community and on social media. Symmetry supports that growth through its established reputation, website, advertising, content, and referrals from within the clinic.

I’ll work with you on building your client book, including helping you create useful videos and other content.

Who I’d like to meet

You may be an experienced personal trainer, exercise physiologist, exercise science or kinesiology graduate, or a promising early-career trainer.

You must have a personal training certification and current CPR/AED certification. A relevant degree and experience are welcome, but how you think, communicate, learn, and work with clients matter more to me than a long list of credentials.

This opportunity is based in Naples and may be a fit for someone living in Naples, Bonita Springs, Estero, or Fort Myers, as well as an FGCU graduate ready to build a career here.
