These Reasons For Your Pain Are BS.
Here is a list of reasons typically given for why you hurt your back, neck, knee, etc – that is not true.
This list conveniently doubles as a warning list. Plainly, don’t spend your resources (time, money, energy) on anyone claiming these are the causes of your pain, or any device or gadget claiming to “fix” anything wrong with you based anything on the list.
You twisted wrong.
You slept wrong.
You bent over wrong.
You picked something up wrong.
You overused something.
You underused something.
You used your non-dominant hand.
You overused your dominant hand.
You did not stretch enough.
You are out of alignment.
Your posture is “off”.
Your head is too far forward.
Your shoulders are too rounded.
You hunch too much.
You are too weak.
You are imbalanced.
Your muscles are asleep.
Your fascia is bound and knotted.
Your muscles are too tight.
Your muscles are too loose.
Your bones are in the wrong place.
You are full of toxins. ( I hesitated including this as it is so offensively ridiculous).
Chances are you have already tried more than one technique that attempted to help you based on one or more of the explanations in the list. Pain and a decrease in function/ability are much more complex and nuanced than those explanations can account for.
