As an avid athlete her entire life, Gen is an exercise enthusiast who knows the importance of taking a more holistic approach to fitness. She can work with you to improve your health by working on your entire body rather than just singular body parts during exercise.
Gen is certified by the Aerobics & Fitness Association of America (AFAA) and is a student of the Resistance Training Specialist (RTS) program, which has taught her the importance of creating customized exercises for her clients.
Gen started her personal training career at Crunch in Naples before moving to Symmetry, where she now devotes individual attention to her clients without the distractions of a large commercial gym.
With a degree in business management and accounting, Jan spent much of her working life in the corporate world before a battle with colon cancer changed her life in 2007.
After recovering from her illness, Jan hired Jay Weitzner as her personal trainer, which led to a 50-pound weight loss and increased strength and endurance. Jan had such excellent results that she decided to become a personal trainer to help other people achieve similar results.
She became a certified personal trainer and a student of the Resistance Training Specialist (RTS) program in 2014. In 2017, she was certified by the Cancer Exercise Training Institute as a cancer exercise specialist, and she enjoys helping others who are facing the challenges of cancer when it comes to exercise.
